AT MINDCHAMPS, every child is nurtured to possess the three minds – champion, learning and creative – to face future life challenges.

“We believe that lying dormant in each of us is the potential to become a “Mind-Champion.’ Living by our education philosophy of ‘100 per cent respect, zero fear,’ our students will become MindChampions who face the world with the belief in being respectful towards others and their ideas, while expressing one’s individualilty and uniqueness with confidence,” says Mr David Chiem, founder, chairman and group chief executive officer of MindChamps Holdings.

MindChamps initially established itself as a research centre in Sydney in 1998 and established its Asian headquarters in Singapore in 2002. MindChamps operates 33 pre-schools and seven Reading & Writing centres in Singapore.

The group also has two pre-schools in the Philippines and a Reading & Writing centre in Australia under a master franchise model. All accredited teachers receive up to 200 hours of extensive theory and practicum training. In addition, MindChamps teachers undergo yearly training and upgrading programmes.

Mr Chiem attributes MindChamps’ brand success to the presence of a strong, scientifically validated curriculum.

“Drawing upon international expertise from the three domains of neuroscience, child psychology and theatre, and synthesising them with education,” he says.

“At MindChamps, we never rest on our laurels. We believe very strongly that when we stop learning, we stop teaching.” he adds.

In the short-term, the group is focussing on growing its market share in Singapore. In the medium-term, it has set its sights on being the number one premium range pre-school in Australia and United Arab Emirates, through joint ventures and franchising.
