A Holiday Workshop for the Budding Writer

Writing Boot Camp (For Primary 1 to 3)

Spanning across five days, this writing boot camp will help your child to be a better writer by strengthening their writing foundation as they learn how to express themselves better.

During this holiday writing programme, there will be different focus areas for each age group:

  • Primary 1 children will start small and focus on introducing themselves using various types of words and utilising multiple perspectives.
  • Primary 2 children will work on short poems and use fine details to describe scenes.
  • Those in Primary 3s will explore their senses in order to create more vibrant characters and figure out how to write under pressure – which is extremely vital for written exams.

These courses are designed to imbue your child with more confidence in their writing and allow their love for the written word to flourish.

Using acting to explore language and the self

Actors Centre Kids Boot Camp (for N1 to P3)

This holiday programme is catered for Nursery, Kindergarten and Primary levels to develop confidence, creativity and collaboration in each child.

For the N1s and N2s, kids will use stories and drama activities to express their ideas and personalities. They will work in teams to improve their vocal projection and storytelling skills. Every day, kids will have the opportunity to take home a craft created in class to show off what they have learnt.

For the K1s and K2s, they will get to utilise and explore props from the “Creativity Chest”. They will brainstorm with these items and create scenes and dialogues.

Similarly, for the P1s to P3s, they will use the “Creativity Chest” to create a performance which parents will enjoy at the end of the holiday workshop.

Get a Headstart by Understanding Class Concepts on a Deeper Level

Primary Success Workshop (for Primary 3 and 4)

For kids who may need a bit more help with schoolwork, these holiday workshops will help them sharpen the skills that they have learnt in class through working with others. The workshops will be targeted at the different subjects and levels for Primary 3 and 4 students.

At the English workshop, kids will explore creative writing and mastering grammar in order to help their composition writings. They will also learn how to ace cloze passages by looking for clues.

For the Chinese programme, kids will understand expressions and emotions to give life to their compositions. They will also learn how to use various idioms and proverbs in order to bring their essay to the next level.

Math classes involve learning new concepts and developing thinking skills. They will work in pairs or groups to identify and solve problems.

On the other hand, the science lessons are focused on magnets and kids will get to practice questions by participating in fun activities.
