School is out and fun is IN!
With the June holiday 2017 right around the corner, it is time to start planning for a whole month of fun activities for children and parents. With so many school holiday activities and programmes lined up, here is a handy list of where to go and what to do this June!
- Gallery Children’s Biennale
The inaugural Gallery Children’s Biennale is set out to inspire children and families to use their creative imagination. With interactive art showcases and family-friendly activities happening during the school holidays, your child can go on free guided tours, learn printmaking techniques from artists during the hands-on workshops and create your very own masterpieces!
Programmes are suitable for families, the young as well as the young at heart.

- Be A Junior Environmentalist (Reading Workshop)
How much does your child know about saving the environment? At the one-day reading workshop, children from three to six years old will immerse in the world of Integrated Phonics (with songs, rhymes and poems), and Listening and Reading Comprehension through a host of exciting activities! Every child can play his part to protect our environment, so let’s do it together! This is a parent-accompanied workshop, and one parent is required to attend.

- Be A Junior Environmentalist (Writing Workshop)
Creative writing goes as far as the mind flows! Learn how to unleash your child’s creativity at this two-day writing workshop, specially catered for K2 – P4 children. In addition to picking up tips on how to care for the environment, your child goes on a learning journey through Adjectives, Conjunctions, Verbs and more! Get ready to be amazed by their masterpieces at the end of this school holiday activity.

Do you have a budding photographer? Here’s a chance for your child to get trigger-happy during the school holidays to learn photography techniques and gain hands-on experience with photography in the park. Choose between a half-day or full-day session, and enjoy a hearty lunch at GRUB too.
This programme is suitable for children aged 7 to 12.

- Soap Art
Soap up and have fun at this hands-on workshop as your child learns how to knead, mould, and mix colours and scents to create her very own soap. Let those creative juices flow during this sensory activity, as she works on her masterpieces.
This programme is suitable for children aged three and above.

- Champion Values Programme
A child’s character is an integral part of him which sets him apart of others. During this two-day school holiday programme, your child is nurtured towards the development of values such as compassion, gratefulness and integrity. Children will also learn how to manage setbacks and failures, to allow him to grow and thrive in various situations. These skills sharpen your child’s attitude and mindset, allowing him to prepare for the future.
Programmes are catered for P1 – P6 students.

- Tinker with Textiles!
Embark on an adventure with textiles, old clothes and accessories to reinvent them and create wearable technology using LED lights and more! This June holiday programme promises to stretch your child’s mind and awaken his innovative skills by stitching a narrative together to create a fabric collage.
This camp is suitable for children aged 5 to 12.

- Holiday Drama Workshops
Act 3 International presents Mid Theatre Fun this June Holiday, and promises to take your children through a discovery of self via a whirlwind of imagination. With a plethora of school holiday programmes suitable for children of different ages, parents can expect to join in the parent-child sessions with their younger ones. Step into the world of expression by re-enacting roles and stories through drama!
The workshops are suitable for children aged 7 months to 16 years old.

Sports & Outdoor fun
- Floorball Family Fun
The Youth Floor Ball Academy invites beginners and seasoned players to join in a day of floorball. Widely played recreationally and competitively in recent years, floorball is easy to pick up and a fantastic way to enjoy some sporting fun as a family! All floorball equipment will be provided. YFA jerseys, sports bags and insurance are not included for this event sign up.
This programme is suitable for ages six to 60.

- Young Naturalist Camp
Let your child go on a nature trip this June holiday! Discover interesting facts of indoor and outdoor learning of the wetlands and nature conservation issues through worksheets, nature walks and hands-on activities. This one-day camp promises an adventure for your young naturalist.
This programme is suitable for children aged 7 to 12.

Soak up some sun and sweat it out this school holiday! Your child can pick from a suite of sporting activities such as Archery, Boogie Bounce, Futsal and more. Get in the groove of a healthy lifestyle together, with parent-and-child activities such as Ultimate Frisbee and WuShu too.

- “Reading With Nature” Series: The Bear with the Sword
Enjoy a storytelling session as Junior Reading Ambassadors narrate about a bear who wanted to chop down all the trees in the forest! Your child with also get to explore nature via a guided tour around the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and appreciate the outdoor greenery this June holiday.
This activity is suitable for children in K1 – P6.
