Explore your imagination through the written word

Writing Boot Camp (for K2 and P1)

They will tap into their imagination and express that in their writing. For the Primary 1s, their theme is “Monsters” and they will focus on sentence building techniques and work on more vivid storytelling.

All classes will be conducted at Toa Payoh HDB Hub East Wing, Level 17.

Build Confidence through this acting holiday workshop

ACA Kids Boot Camp (for N1 & N2 and K1 & K2)

The Nursery 1s and 2s will participate in fun activities like drama, music and crafts to develop the 3 ‘Cs’ – confidence, creativity and collaboration. This holiday workshop will teach them to control their emotions through exploration and utilising them to build characters. They will work on vocal projection and oral skills through public speaking to their fellow classmates and learn how to work as a team. Through songs and activities, they will enhance their gross motor skills and creativity. Kids will also get to take home their own crafts after each day, which will provide them with a sense of accomplishment.

The Kindergarteners will also go through a similar process, except they will be focusing on the “Creativity Chest”, which is full of costumes and props. They will use these items to improvise, creating dialogues and monologues. Through these acting explorations, kids will gain confidence, team-building skills and a better command of the language. At the end of the week, they will put up a short performance for parents.

All classes will be conducted at Toa Payoh HDB Hub East Wing, Level 17.

Create a strong foundation at this holiday programme

Primary Success Workshop (P3 and P4)

This holiday workshop helps students to be more comfortable with the 2019 primary school syllabus. The workshop is split into various subjects, and students will work together to deepen their understanding of difficult concepts.

For English, they will learn how to make their essay stand out from the others by having a solid grammatical foundation and creative language. They will also learn how to better attempt cloze passages through understanding contextual clues. For Chinese, they will learn how to express their thoughts in writing so as to produce more descriptive compositions. They will also learn how to add emotive words, idioms and proverbs to bring life to their writing.

For Mathematics, they will learn how to problem-solve effectively by applying different skills like “guess and check” or “assumptions”. The programme focuses on building confidence and interest so the children would be motivated to practice problem sums. For Science, they will familiarise themselves with friction and forces, and attempt fun activities related to the subject.
