A Message from
Our Founder

With the world locked into an intense battle with COVID-19, many of us may be feeling uncertain about the future. And that’s only natural.

As our Founder CEO Mr. David Chiem reminds us, however, it’s essential that we stay positive and tap into the Champion Mindset during this trying period for the sake of ourselves and our loved ones.

The Importance of theChampion Mindset

The Champion Mindset is the brainchild of Professor Emeritus Allan Snyder and the culmination of his decades-long career in neuroscience research. It is also the defining trait of the MindChamps philosophy and all our programmes.

The coronavirus may have dealt everyone a grave setback, but by embodying the Champion Mindset, we are certain that your Champ can turn this situation into a setup for his/her personal growth.

For example, it will do your Champ a world of good if he/she can:

a world of good if he/she can:

Focus on the things which he/she is good at or which make him/her happy, instead of the negative events which are out of his/her control

Actively search for ways to help or show appreciation to those who are battling the virus on the frontlines

Reflect on how all the so-called inconveniences and restrictions can make him/her a more resilient individual

The 3 Characteristics of the Champion Mindset

With years of research into Neuroscience and the behaviours of extremely successful individuals, Professor Allan Snyder was able to distil the 3 main characteristics these champions shared:

  1. Their abhorrence to being ordinary.
  2. Their courage to confront conventional wisdom.
  3. Their conviction that adversity – even failure – is integral to success.
