Centre-based lessons for our MindChamps Writing Programme have resumed since 26 June 2020.
We have implemented a full range of safe reopening measures to protect the health of your child while he/she is attending classes at our centres.
We are also monitoring the situation closely and will respond decisively should circumstances call for alternative learning arrangements.
Thank you for your cooperation as we seek to make learning both joyful and safe.
Designed by internationally renowned author Brian Caswell, our writing programme for kids breaks down the barriers often associated with writing. With a unique set of stimuli and tools at their disposal, your child will be empowered to enhance their writing abilities and enjoy the writing process from the start.
The framework and strategies used in our writing programme are set to complement Singapore’s primary school English curriculum, so your child will be able to apply what they learn in their schoolwork.
Your child will likely have exposure to writing compositions as part of their primary school English classes. MindChamps Creative Writing will not only give them the skills to excel in academic work, but also nurture in them a deeper love for the English language. This course will allow your child to express their imagination and thoughts through the written word as they solidify their fundamentals in constructing sentences, punctuation, verbs and agreement, grammar and paragraphing. They will also build their vocabulary bank, gain knowledge of literary devices, and discover new narrative techniques through the creative writing process.
Sharpening their grammar structures
Learning how to proofread and edit their own work
Trying out various genres of writing
Understanding different writing styles

“The distinct aspect of the MindChamps Writing programme is that it focuses on cultivating a child’s ability to write by inspiring him/her to express his/her thoughts in words, rather than by telling him/her what to write, which stifles the imagination in the process.” Read More
