Parent-Child Reading Workshop
Bond with your child during this year-end holiday workshop
This workshop is divided based on ages, with the 3- to 4-year-olds in one class and 5- to 6-year-olds in another. Based on the theme of “Jungle Explorers”, parents and their preschoolers will go on an expedition to experience integrated phonics using songs, rhymes and poems. Parents will brainstorm with kids to develop phonemic and penmanship awareness through the use of imagination. Everyone will role-play and experience the animal kingdom together!
For the 5- to 6-year-olds, kids will go on a monster expedition and work on their integrated phonics with listening and comprehension. They will use craft works to establish understanding and also practice forming sentences to understand new vocabulary.

Writing Boot Camp
Empower your child to write like a pro!
This writing holiday workshop uses hands-on activities, and kids will tap on their imagination to learn modes of expression and bring their compositions to new heights. For the K2s, their theme is “Monsters” and they will learn new ways to describe the creatures’ features and personality. They will also learn how to tap on physical stimuli and work on their foundation.
For the Primary 1s, they will work on self-introductions and self-expression during the 2019 school holidays. They will start incorporating multiple perspectives and new phrases to share their experience. The Primary 2s will also work on their personal narrative and try their hands at creating poems and working on details. This workshop aims to promote creativity in writing and allow kids to incorporate their own experiences into their writing.

ACA Kids Boot Camp
Let your preschooler experience an acting workshop this 2019 school holiday
This is a theme-based programme and split according to N1, N2 and K1, K2s.
The 2019 ACA Kids holiday workshop prepares the N1s and N2s for school by instilling confidence, creativity and collaboration in them. Through this acting workshop, kids will learn to control their emotions, develop confidence and explore language. They will have the opportunities to present in front of their classmates and improve their oral skills. Children will also make a craft in class which they can take home.
The K1s and K2s will embark on a similar journey with the addition of the Creativity Chest. It contains various props and costume pieces which the kids can use to create scenes and guide their thoughts each day. The items will be used to create monologues, dialogues and expand characterisation. Through interactive storytelling, kids will explore their ideas and develop creativity. Teamwork is also a big part of these workshops and the kids will be developing collaboration skills by listening to their classmates’ perspectives.

Thinking Cap Workshop
Teach your child to think and learn effectively
This workshop is aimed at P3 to P6 students, empowering them with skills that they can use in school and beyond. The workshop seeks to imbue them with problem-solving and thinking skills while boosting their confidence.
Here, students will learn to build emotional resilience to combat stress and succeed in school. They will use fun concepts like drama, storytelling and metaphors to engage with the class. Primary Success Workshop
Prepare for the next school year through this 2019 holiday workshop
This workshop aims to give Primary 3 to 6 students a head start in 2020 by going through important concepts and introducing some new ones.
Students will work in pairs and groups, thus deepening their understandings through bouncing off each other. The 2-day workshop will touch on English, Math, Science and Chinese. For English, students will learn how to be better readers and sieve out more information from the text. During the Chinese session, they will expand their vocabulary and learn how to appreciate poems. This workshop will focus on the appreciation of Chinese culture through games as well as providing them with some useful study tips.
The Math session features important concepts like area and perimeter. Students will focus on some challenging questions and brainstorm on the best way to answer them. Science class will focus on the concept of matter, and P3s and P4s will identify states while the P5s and P6s will learn how matter occupies space. They will try to develop an understanding in terms of water and start on the basics of graphing.

MindChamps Academy Chinese Workshop
Learning Mandarin through this year-end holiday celebration
The Chinese culture shares many similarities with those of other countries, but did you know that the concept of “thanksgiving” is incorporated into traditional Confucian values?
Thanksgiving is an American year-end holiday that revolves around gratitude for our family and community, which is one of the key Chinese values. During this camp, students will learn about Thanksgiving through fun and interactive activities. This immersive class allows children to be creative and experience traditional art forms liken clapper talk and bamboo strips artwork.
Students will enact a short performance for parents to enjoy at the end of the camp to express their understanding of the theme “Cross-Culture Thanksgiving”.
