“It takes a village to raise a child” – African Proverb.

Here at Upper Thomson, our dynamic team of educators play a crucial role in developing and nurturing the individual needs of a child. We believe that the strength of the programme is in the dedication of the teaching staff. Teachers create a kind, caring atmosphere to foster imagination and creativity. We strive to create mutual respect and encourage daily communication between parents and teachers.

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. We provide enriching opportunities every day so Champs reach their full potential socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively within the learning environment. Our classrooms are designed to inspire young learners, capturing each child’s interests, ideas, and independence to encourage a growing awareness of self. We prepare students for on-going schools by continually monitoring their readiness for new learning challenges.

We value people: the children in our care, their parents, and our employees. We continually work to earn the trust placed in us and strive each day to be the best providers of early childhood education in the community we serve.

Parents' Reviews

A big THANK YOU for the love, care and attention shown to Natalie, and for working together with us in bringing out the best in her. We are thankful for the regular updates from the teachers on her progress in school and the areas that she needs to improve on, such as discipline and self-control. Hearing from the teachers on how they handled this in school is helpful as it enables us to be consistent at home.

We also take comfort in knowing that the school would do all that they can to ensure the safety and well-being of the Champs during their day in school. This was evident during the time when Natalie unknowingly pulled her elbow and the school teachers and staff noticed straight away that she was not her bubbly self. Upon monitoring her condition and keeping us updated through videos, they made the call to take her to the PD in order to get treated.

For all these and more, we are truly thankful!

Since we enrolled Aniq here, he has demonstrated values of graciousness, sharing and caring for others, as well as independence in performing tasks for himself. He remembers instructions from his teachers when it comes to homework assignments, a clear sign that he takes pride in his own work. His interest and ability in reading and writing have also improved in leaps and bounds, as he now reads his own bedtime stories.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all teachers and staff for making our child’s transition into the centre seamless and so much fun.

All of the comments I’ve heard from parents of existing students at MindChamps PreSchool @ Upper Thomson were very positive. They all spoke favourably of the school, with consistent high regards for the quality of teachers.

Marcus never fail to speak excitedly about his learning experiences. He has learnt to read basic words and his ability to spell has also improved. He is confident to try to spell unfamiliar words. Given that Marcus does not use Mandarin often at home, I am also glad that he has not turned away from the language, and even initiates reading Chinese books at home. All this is attributed to the encouragement and dedication of the teachers who truly cares for the Champs.

MindChamps Preschool – Defining the Champion in every child” – this phrase caught our attention when we were sourcing for a preschool for Yun An. We recognised the need for a strong foundation in preparation for primary school. After visiting several places, we decided to enrol her at MindChamps PreSchool Upper Thomson.

Over the past months, Yun An has grown to be more confident and she enjoys going to school to meet her best friends. We have also seen improvement in her academics especially in English as she uses the language more at home these days. She’s also happy with her teachers and would share her day with us.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to her teachers for their patience and love in nurturing our daughter and all Champs under their care.

We are pleased with the education that Matthew received at MindChamps PreSchool @ Upper Thomson. He did not have to take any enrichment class outside of school, and has learnt a lot from the teachings in MindChamps. He has also developed good reading habits and the teachers really prepare them well for P1.

Academics aside, Matthew also befitted a lot in terms of character building. A big THANK YOU to the teachers for their patience and dedication in encouraging Matthew to be self-reflective when dealing with minor conflicts on his own. This has helped him build up his communication and interpersonal skills as well.

Mindchamps Upper Thomson is such a vibrant and happy place. It is an awesome environment for both learning and character development.Isaac and Isser come home singing new songs and share the things they learnt excitedly. Their affection for the school is clearly evident from how they proudly say, “This is my MindChamps!” every time they pass by the school on weekends.

As a parent, I truly appreciate the school’s effort in organising activities for the children beyond the curriculum, such as field trips and concerts. I also know that I can count on the teachers to give me feedback and tackle any issues together.

Thank you to everyone in the school!
