School holidays are just around the corner and it can be difficult for parents to choose an appropriate enrichment class for kids.
With barely a week, time is precious and these extra classes should tick all the boxes. They should not only be fun so kids can rewind and interesting enough so children continue to learn.
Here are three different kinds of enrichment classes that you can sign up your kids for this school holiday and how they can benefit from them.
Enrichment classes for kids based on exam techniques
The holidays are the best time for kids to get extra help if they require it.
The MindChamps Exam Strategies workshop is aimed at P5 students on subjects like Math, Science, English and Chinese. With this workshop, kids will revisit key concepts for each subject and work on the concepts that they are weakest at.
The workshop focuses on developing good exam strategies such that kids work smarter and not harder. Kids will learn how to work within the time frame and reduce any stress surrounding exams.

Reading and Creative Writing Programmes for budding writers
Writing skills are something you would need throughout your entire life, so it is best to start working on them from young.
The “Experience the Craft of Writing” workshop by MindChamps is a programme that complements the MOE English curriculum, focusing on understanding and the creative aspects of writing.
Most creative writing programmes are based around the mechanical approach, but this programme is different. It links aspects of a reading programme for kids to ensure they understand what they are writing before embarking on the task.

Life Skills Workshops for K2 & P1 Kids
Instead of going for more academic-based workshops like creative writing classes or reading programmes, you can send your child for a more skills-based workshop. These workshops can be a vital stepping stone for the future applied learning programmes that primary schools will be offering.
